TD Bank’s main focus for this microsite is to promote their “human” like qualities and provide you with information on how their customer service is better than any other bank, because they understand what it’s like to be human. They will truly go the extra mile in the banking industry for you! The five words that come to mind for this microsite are informative, fun, genuine, mindful, and different.

Office D/M has done an incredible job with their interactive elf yourself videos over the past several years. Each year they add new dance moves and effects to keep it fresh, but it amazes me how they are able to continue to keep the popularity of it up for so many years and to keep having consumers visit, download the app and make viral videos during the holiday season. The five words that come to mind for this microsite are interactive, humorous, festive, playful, and vibrant.

3. MINI (Cooper)

MINI has truly become a stylish icon within the car industry. This portal is a place you not only learn about the history of MINI and the different types of MINIs they offer, but an interactive competition that links with social media, “BE CREATIVE. BE ICONIC. BE MINI.” The five words that come to mind for this microsite are stylish, artistic, interactive, accessible, and bold.

I really have a deep appreciation for this microsite. Not only is this a perfect way for Chipotle to advertise, but creating both a game and film for them to educate the world about their brand is quite the undertaking. They are successful in creatively conveying their message of bringing real food back into the fast food industry. The five words that come to mind for this microsite are organic, friendly, wholesome, ethical, and interactive.

5. Red Bull

Red Bull Flugtag Flight Lab 2 is no joke. It is definitely not as easy as it may appear. I think this is a great way to promote the brand, especially since they once claimed Red Bull gives you wings. This site just focuses on one thing, a fun interactive experience for their target market, which I respect. They don’t shove Red Bull facts and beliefs down your throat, but offer you the opportunity to play a fun game that they have created. The five words that come to mind for this microsite are simple, exciting, interactive, straightforward, and playful.

  1. The Chipotle Scare Crow Game microsite is beautiful! It is seriously one of my favorite case studies because of the concept. I love how the game gives you an eerie feeling, with the familiar yet creepy “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” music. The song itself narrates an optimistic company, in a mad world of corrupt companies. I think you describe the site perfectly.

I also like your MINI Cooper micro example. Being able to interactively explore a car without going to the dealership is so convenient! Purchasing a car is a big decision so learning as much as you can is very important.

  2. I Loooooove the scarecrow game. Plus I mean chipotle is just a game changer. They have our generation on lock. Like the “I’m in love with chipotle song I played in class. I like the fact that their site educates us as well. Plus it is cool how we chose some of the same sites. I’ve never actually used elf yourself but some of my friends have and they enjoy it.
